Muay Thai

Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand, also known as Thai Boxing.
It originated over 1000 years ago and has evolved from military origins
into vastly popular international sport that it is today. The techniques of
Muay Thai are the use of boxing, kicking, elbowing and kneeing to all
parts of the body. This makes Thai Boxing incredibly effective and
practical as a street self-defense art.

Training is in a professional, adult atmosphere that is physically
intense but motivational in instruction style. Muay Thai provides;
the toughest workout from start to finish, lose weight and tone
muscle faster than you thought possible, be part of one of the
fastest growing sports in the world, experience in the excitement of
sparring, having fun hitting bags and pads, to become proficient in
a powerful martial art that is easy to learn.

The first minutes of the class are dedicated to warming up and
loosening of all the muscles, followed by technique and basic
moves. Through various strikes, defensive movement and footwork
will start to develop. Also in the class their “pad work” where the
student will learn to apply the technique with power, speed and
accuracy. For advanced students there is also sparring–this is where
you will try the various techniques on an opponent in a “live” setting under
professional supervision and controlled technique.

Some students learn it for fun. Some for self defense. Others do it to compete.
Either way you will experience the best workout with the best results in your life.
